This tour will lead you to the discovery of a little-known archaeological area dating back to the Neolithic period in which important "unusual" ceramic artifacts were found, and then to a visit to Partanna, the town that is home to these artifacts. The Civilization of the Glass is so named because of a bell-shaped ceramic artifact found inside the ditches (up to 13 meters deep made perhaps to protect the village). A walk of a couple of kilometers over steep terrain is planned to reach the site. After the exploration you will be guided to Partanna and specifically visit the Grifeo Castle, a medieval building that houses the archaeological museum of the same name, the Mother Church of Partanna, partially rebuilt following the dramatic earthquake of 1968, and other places including the Belvedere and the main square of the town, the largest in the entire province.
